Thank You, Lets Keep Serving

In Balinese culture, six months is a significant milestone in one's life. It is a time to celebrate one's birth, a time of prayer and thanksgiving, marking the full cycle of the Pawukon Calendar.

And the same is true for J-on, albeit the Gregorian Calendar. It gives us joy to know that one week from today makes J-on half a year old. Within that short period of time, J-on has grown to such levels we would not have expected during its first fragile infant steps.

However we are also sad to note that this month the pioneering members of J-on will be retiring. They have poured their sweat and dedication into this project, building a foundation to make it what it is today.

The new editorial board will work upon the foundation laid by our pioneers, with the continued dedication of our journalists to serve the UTAR community of Kampar.

Last month was indeed an electrfying one where emotions ran high as we elected our new university leaders. But beyond expectations or disehancement, empathy or apathy, remember that within our UTAR community, there are many ordinary students that are not quite so ordinary.

They shine in their own way, they serve in their own way, and this month, we'll get to know some of those faces. So stay tuned!
