Part 2: Yellue and Flame to wrap up campaign blitz

Yellue! and the FLAME are two campaigns that will take the stage on the last day of the campaign blitz by final year public relation students, on November 10 with the former being an environmental campaign the the latter a healthy lifestyle one.

Yellue! - and no, its not a curse word - is derived from combining the word Yellow and Blue. The mixture of both colours would create the colour green, signifying nature and sustainability. It hopes to engages through experiential activities such as costume design with recycled materials.

The highlight event will be the Yellue! Hunt where UTAR students get to experience active and fun education about saving the environment. During the Yellue! Hunt, participants takes on the role as ambassadors by wearing the green message on their Yellue! t-shirt and collecting 50 signatures from UTARian as a show of support in saving mother earth with Yellue!.

If the endless green themes bore you, then perhaps FLAME will be a breath of fresh air.

F.L.A.M.E., stands for “For Lives Are Meaningful and Exciting" seeks to promote healthcare tips and guides to the youth community with its Youth Campaign.

Rachel Wong, Campaign Director of Youth Campaign enthused: “Staging this campaign initially is just a part of our course structure that we’re required to fulfill, but since we’re to run an event which will have positive influence on our peers; we’ve finally decided to work out a campaign which aims to encourage youths to live happy and healthy.”

Supported by many well-known organisations, the campaign features GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Pharmaceuticals providing awareness talks on cervical cancer prevention, Yakult Malaysia to provide free product sampling and health talks on human digestive system, blood testing and audiometry tests by BP Healthcare Group.

There are also activities such as white water rafting demonstration, on-campus paintball mini war zone, batik painting session and photography tutorials and photo-shooting tour.
