George Town, Nov 27 (J-on): Former Penang Chief Minister, Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu’s demise was given a state funeral here in recognition to his huge contribution to the state. His body is now lies in Dewan Sri Pinang in Lebuh Light until Sunday for the public to pay their final respects.

Kampar, November 25 (J-on) - Students who have yet to pay their tuition fees by last week were terminated by Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).
According to a Division of Finance (DFN) officer, terminated students are required to pay a reinstatement fee of RM100 together with the late payment charge to continue their studies.

就如“敢于追求梦想”（Dare To Dream）顾问老师刘惠云所说，部分的大专生仍旧以浑浑噩噩，毫无生活目标状态度日子。
李政旺与许君仪，受邀出席由辅导组同侪辅导小组举办的“敢于追求梦想”（Dare to Dream）分享会。
李政旺，一名只有19岁的广告系2年级生，”凭一部教育纪录短片赢得今年“The Royal Commonwealth Vision Award”的银奖。他15岁那年，也在“Anugerah Filem Pendek 2006”中以“无毒品的幸福家庭”（Keluarga Bahagia Tanpa Dadah）取得最佳十大短片电影制作之一。
李政旺坚信“self-motivation”（自我激励）。
许君仪，即将毕业的新闻系3年级生，J-ON创办人之一。由中四起，欲成为一名记者的她，除了在马新社（BERNAMA）度过3个月的实习记者生涯，更曾前往芬兰参与限于新闻系学生及记者的“外国记者研讨会”（Foreign Correspondent Programme）。
对于李政旺，努力追求梦想，最重要靠自身激励。“You Believe You Can Do It.”（你相信你是可以做到的）是他给予追求梦想者的名言。
Life is Choice
出道近十年的光良，坚信这“life is choice”，生命需要不断地做选择，并且留着后路给自己。
曾经梦想当科学家的他，却在10岁那年学习钢琴，而慢慢喜欢上音乐，开始了他对音乐梦想的旅途。

（金宝19讯）“会唱歌，还要会写歌，生存在娱乐圈的功夫必须很了得… …”相信大家对这首歌耳熟能详了吧。对，它就是2008年娱协奖的主题曲，也是第一届拉曼大学华文歌曲创作比赛（音.杨）的主题曲 - Star。
据了解，这次的创作比赛共吸引了三十多项作品，惟晋级至决赛圈就只有仅仅的10项作品。
大会邀请了三名资深的音乐人担当大会的评审，他们分别是以往曾担任UTAR Idol评审的范雅福老师，第三届绝对Super Star女子组亚军赖淞凤，以及音乐才子伍家辉。
张家旗凭着一首《I’m sorry》夺下了当晚的最佳演绎歌曲、最佳歌曲、以及最佳人气。歌的旋律当中串插了杜德伟的经典名曲《Feel so sorry》，让他觉得不再对身边的人感到“sorry”，因为他得到了大家的肯定。
作为j-on记者的我昨晚出席了音杨这个活动，对这场活动的评语，我只能用“感动”来形容。人因为“梦”而伟大，顿时在现场的我也觉得输赢也不重要了，因为他们的歌曲，他们的“梦”已经成功的传达给在场的每一个人。
而我写这篇稿的今天，我也出席了今天“Dare to dream”的交流活动，一个是刚为梦想起步的创作比赛，一个就是坚持自己梦想而成功的例子，两者都是勇于追梦的活生生的例子，你是否也应该以他们为榜样吗？

Seeing KTAR's ban on UTAR students from entering the college's compound due to dress code problems, it was actually started much earlier, but we were not informed in a proper way, or I should say officially.

On November 4, 2010, J-on conducted two separate polls on its website to get feedback from students' on their preference for their convocation venue. The poll ran for a week, until November 11, 2010.
For the first poll, respondents were asked what is the most important thing that they would consider for their convocation venue. Of the 359 respondents, more than half or 190 respondents said that a nice environment would be the most important. Another 113 respondents or 31% wanted easy access and facilities for their convocation.

Kampar, November 16 (J-on) - Around 13 light strike force police kept a hawk’s eye at McDonald’s in response to a cake party organised for “1M Malaysians Reject 100-storey Mega Tower” Facebook group.

Kampar, November 16 (J-on) - Traffic was choked as UTAR guards beefed up security at both entrance gates following the theft of a keyboard at Block H.
Security guards conducted random checks on both cars and motorcycles as well as students' bags.

Kampar, November 14 (J-on) - The Election Comission will be setting up a booth in Cafeteria, Block C tomorrow and Tuesday to assist students with voter registration.
Students who are at least 21 years old are encouraged to register to ensure eligibility to vote in the 13th General Election.

Last week we asked our readers to write in on where they would like their convocation to be held, here is what you have to say:
I am going to graduate most probably in August 2011. I entered UTAR Kampar as the first batch of the 500 students from foundation. It will be memorable to be able to graduate here. It holds so much meaning to me.

I am A freshman at UTAR Kampar and a resident of Westlake, Danish Homes.
My friends, majority of them, have put up a place in the apartments in New Town. Being nearer to campus with access through KTAR, it was really convenient for them. Especially considering the fact that apartments in that area are very reasonably priced.
