New courses for 2010

Kampar, Mar 16 (J-on) – Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman’s (UTAR) Perak campus held its open day on Mar 13 and 14 in accordance with its May 2010 intake.

Among the highlights were career guidance workshops, talks, campus tours and application for the May intake.

There were new courses launched at UTAR Perak’s Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology (FEGT).

Three of the latest four year programmes are Bachelor of Engineering (hons) Environmental Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (hons) Petrochemical Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering (hons) Industrial Engineering.

FEGT Academic Development and Undergraduate Programmes Deputy Dean Dr. Ng Choon Aun said that there is a high demand for graduates in green technology in our country.

 “Hopefully the response for the upcoming intake will be more as there were around five students during the Jan batch,” he said

Environmental Engineering and Petrochemical Engineering courses have already commenced this Jan as for Industrial Engineering, the programme will commence in May.
