DPM Wants Varsity Students To Be Open Minded In Helping Racial Integration

MUAR, March 19 - Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Friday called on students of institutions of higher learning to be open minded in expediting the process of racial integration in the country.

He said this was important to ensure the objective of Malaysia becoming a developed country in its own mould by 2020 was achieved.

"We want the future of the country to be developed according to the demands of the times which now is exposed to various influences through the open virtual policy,” he told reporters after attending a UiTM Shah Alam community progamme at the Pagoh sports complex here on Friday.

He said the openness of virtual policy including the free flow of information within the community.

“Thus, we should foster cooperation although we are from various communities," he said.
