1 Black Sharing Session

Kampar, Mar 22 (J-on) - UTAR students were seen wearing black to attend a sharing session by Malaysian media activist Wong Chin Huat last Friday.

All of the attendees were in black.

One of the attendees, Public Relations student Law Chien Waei said that he learned about this session from his friend.

He was wearing a black shirt to attend this session as an appreciation to Wong’s effort for organizing the 1 Black Malaysia during Perak’s constitutional crisis last year.

Second year Public Relations student Edward Chin Yik Shearn revealed that he came to show respect to Mr. Wong who launched 1 Black Malaysia Campaign last year.

“I was unhappy for the outcome of the Perak politics system,” added him.

Journalism student Tay Pang Chong said that he admired Wong’s act in the case of 1 Black Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Wong who shared his experience as an activist, urged Malaysians to paint every state of Malaysia black with clothes on May 7, 2009, in retaliation to Barisan Nasional’s takeover of the Pakatan Rakyat state government in Perak.

This session was organized by the department of Journalism.



Edward came to show his respect to Mr. Wong.
