Inter-Faculty English Debate Postponed

Kampar, Feb 23 (J-on) – The Inter-faculty English Debate that was initially planned to start today has been postponed to week 8.
One of the organizers, Yeoh Hui Ching revealed that the postponement was because only one team registered.
The debate was organized by English Language Society.
They had previously set up a booth at Block C cafeteria for the recruitment drive and posters of the event were pasted on notice boards around the campus.
When asked what cause the lack response, she said that the venue changing during the foundation students’ examinations made students missed the recruitment.
The society had intended to set up another booth at Block H cafeteria but no place was available.
She also admitted that the society might not have put in enough effort during the recruitment.
“A bit disappointing,” Yeoh Hui Ching replied when asked about her feelings upon the lack of participation from UTAR students.
