Kampar, 17 March (J-on) - A screening of exiled documentaries organized by the Peoples Documentary Foundation was held in Block D from 2.00p.m. to 4.00p.m. A total of 3 documentaries, Bakun Trilogy: Episode 1 (Flood), Bakun Trilogy: Episode 2 (Injustice), and Defend Our Homeland were played for the audience.

The producer of the Bakun Trilogy, Chou Z Lam, which is also the founder of Peoples Documentary Foundation, showed up with his team of 4 people for the event. A Q&A session was conducted after each part of the documentary finished playing. The audience showed great response during the Q&A session by prompting quite a number of questions at the end of each session.

When Chou was asked what was the reason for him to remake the Bakun Trilogy documentary, he answered jokingly, “I persisted on this journey because there is too much of self-censorship and political influence in our mainstream media nowadays. Through these social reality-reflecting documentaries, we can disseminate the correct information to the public,” said Chou.

This screening of the road show was started in early March and it will continue to be held in 15 different locations in west coast of west Malaysia, until early April. For more details and the screening schedule, please log on to http://peoplesdocumentary.wordpress.com
