Kampar, August 16 (J-on) – While cases of baby dumping are growing rampant in the country, Psychology Year 3 Semester 2 students took on the responsibility to educate Utar students on issues related to sexuality and premarital sex – in a manner that could be “seen as” provocative.

“There are lacks of the knowledge of sexuality between the teenagers nowadays. So we decided to organise this campaign to help Utar student to have a clearer picture on this social problem,” said the campaign president Christabel Joseph Doss.

Yau Shao Liang, Public Relation Year 3 Semester 2 student told J-on that the campaign was able to achieve the objective of creating awareness among students.

Commenting on the suggestive banner of a girl licking a banana displayed across the building, he was impressed with the creativity in attracting curious passerby.

“They brilliantly used an indirect way to promote their campaign. This would definitely leave an impression on the students.

“Anyway since this is at the university level, we should be more open-minded towards this kind of creativity,” he said.

“But it (the campaign) could do more to educate students as among the many presenters, some were excellent but some were just at the average level,” he said, adding that the overall campaign to him was informative.

Booths were set up at Block B ground floor to educate students on these issues. Interactive activities such as video visual, statistics information, mini games and the like were carried out to draw crowd to the events.

The campaign started at 10a.m and ended at 5p.m.
