UTAR, 13
July - The Nature and Pet Lovers Society organized an interaction day for the
pet lovers which took place at the Cafeteria in Block C.
The participants were able to check out and play with the pets at the event. |
This is
the first time the society has come up with an interaction day as compared to
previous years where they focused more on pet competitions and pet selling
events.
This year,
most of the pets which were brought to the event were dogs. The participants
were able to get know more about the different kinds of dog breeds. Plus, they
were also able to check out and play with the pets at the same time.
“The event
is conducted mainly for the people who did not own any pets. Therefore, such
events can be a platform for them to interact with pets and make new friends
who can be their source of information sharing circle regarding the pets,” said
Mr. Eugene from Nature and Pet Lovers Society, one of the organizing committee
members of the event.
“Most of
the student who wish to have their won pet but did not have one can learn from
this event on how to adopt a pet and the procedures in taking care of them. It
is a basically a sharing of experience between one other,” he further added.
Janice, a
Psychology student form Faculty of Arts and Social Science said that she is
happy and excited to play with the pets as they are cute and adorable. Since it
is the first time she can get along and see so many different breeds.
“I am
definitely looking forward to owning my own pet in future,” she further
expressed her excitement.
Mr. Eugene
advised that people should be responsible to their pets. If they can’t afford
to take care of them, they shouldn’t adopt them. But if they believe that they
are capable of taking care of pets, they are encouraged to care for their pets
wholeheartedly.
