KAMPAR, November 04 (J-on):

UTAR’s Community Service Club held an Eco-friendly campaign at  Kampung Jeram yesterday. Village

Chief, Lam Seng Peng along with the campaign’s chairperson, Yue Hui Kuen led a total of 70 villagers and

students to 4 areas within the village for a clean-up session. Lam was very glad that the Eco-friendly

campaign was well received by the villagers. He also expressed gratitude towards UTAR’s students and the

12 neighbourhood societies joined hands to clean their environment.

“Everyone shouldered their responsibility towards Mother Nature by working together to help out.” said

Lam when asked about the participants. Yue on the other hand, was very grateful towards the district

government for providing the necessary funds and also for making this campaign possible. She hopes that

through this campaign both students and the villagers are able to learn a thing or two about recycling and

keeping their environment clean.

opportunity for everyone to meet new friends and also gain valuable experience and knowledge.
