Kampar: UTAR's 2014 Cosplay Event was held at the university's Heritage Hall on the 18th of June. The fascinating event was organized by UTAR Japanese Culture Club.

A large number of the audience attended the event in their cosplay outfits to embrace their passion towards cosplaying. The event started off with MC introduction and led by a sketch based on the famous massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), Ragnarok Online. It was then followed by a “kawaii” themed dance performance of two mega-hit songs, Senbonzakura and Hare Hare Yukai.

The highlight of the event were the band performance from DGBK and Verano Attack. The audiences were amazed by the powerful vocals of Germaine and Siew Shun Shu-Wei of Verano Attack when they sang The Crimson Bow and Arrow (Guren no Yumiya) from popular manga/anime, Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin).

During the event, there were also sketches from the manga/anime Danshi Koukousei no Ichijou, Capcom hack and slash game Devil May Cry and the latest Disney blockbuster Frozen.

The colorful event was then concluded by a photo taking session of both the performers and the audiences in their cosplay attire.
