UTAR Model Search is BACK!

UTAR Model Search is back, this time bring in more students that are equipped with both brains and looks. The auditions started early in the morning at block A, with students lining up to prove their worth.

The UTAR Model Search organized by the Multimedia Department serves as a platform to promote UTAR and to scout for talented students. Besides that, it also enables students to gain experience and also build up their confidence and self-esteem.


One of the ex-UTAR models, Law Eng Choong from Faculty of Business and Finance (FBF) recalls his experience as a UTAR model when he was in foundation back in 2010.  He has made loads of friends which had help him boast his confidences. He has never regretted even once taking up this portfolio.

The audition for UTAR Model Search saw an overwhelming response with a total of 99 students trying out. One of the student even waited for 4 hours just to audition for a spot in the upcoming UTAR model.

According to Jiventhen Sharvindran, one of the students waiting in line, he wanted to try out in this model search because he was interested in being a model which indirectly enables him to promote UTAR to other students and outsiders.

A total of 10 girls and 10 guys will be chosen for this year’s UTAR Model 2012. Students are encouraged to join next year if you have missed out this year’s audition.
