Counseling and Guidance Unit presents “Embracing Life”

UTAR, July 9 (J-on) –The counseling and wellness week was held by the Counseling and Guidance Unit in the Heritage Hall, from July 6 to 8.
The event was themed “Embracing Life”
The event was based on 7 components in life namely, Family, Love, Friend, Success, Academic, Health and Disability.

Visitors were given pamphlets upon entrance, and they were required to visit all 7 booths in order to collect all 7 signatures from the helpers.

Those who managed to get all 7 signatures were then entitled to complimentary goodies.

At the ‘Family’ booth, participants could write letters to their parents and the organizer will help them to post the letters out. Nevertheless, a postage fee of RM0.60 was imposed.

At the ‘Love’ booth, a comic that was based on a long-distance relationship was exhibited. Besides, participants could also write encouraging messages dedicated to all the couples in the world.

The ‘Friendship’ booth on the other hand, displayed an array of photos with numbers on them. The participants could cast their votes to the photo which they think portrays friendship the best.

Participants were doing the ‘happiness test’ using laptops provided.

BMI test was available at the ‘Health’ booth

The 7 booths were not the only attraction at the event. When approached by J-on, Ooi Khim Hong, chairperson of the event said, “Besides exhibition, the team has also arranged movie screenings and talks.”
