KAMPAR:
Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Kampar Campus and First Aid Society held
its Blood Donation Campaign and Organ Donation Drive on 27 May to 31 May 2013.
The event is held at the Heritage Hall from 9am-4pm.
The theme for the event is “Hope Exists Because Of You”.
According to the chairperson Lee Kha Lim Year 2
Trimester 3 student from Business Administration, they decided on the theme “Hope
Exists Because Of You” because each packet of blood can save up to 3 lives. The
number of lives that can be saved will increase with the increase of willing donors
and thus bringing hope to those in need.

“I join the blood donation campaign every trimester because
it can save lives and give patients a second chance at life”, said a student
from Banking and Finance, Liew Kok Wei.
Besides blood donation campaign, the First Aid Society
also has a Healthy Lifestyle campaign and First Aider in Every Home Camp with
the aim to educate UTAR staff and students on how to live a healthy lifestyle
and also teach them about First Aid knowledge so they are able to handle situations
and accidents.
