Need someone to talk to? Feel free to drop by P101 in UTAR Kampar Campus as the Psychology and Counselling Department are holding a “Feel Free To Talk” counselling workshop/ psycho-chat time on the 18th to the 21st of June from 10am to 5pm.

“We
want to encourage people to express themselves by a dialogue, a discussion or a
simple chat time” says Event Director, Chew Ke Xin, 22.”
This
event which is organised by UTAR Psychology students and help of lecturers they
have many walk-In activities like the Big 5 personality, House tree person, 5
Love Languages and many other workshops, they hope to help people by
understanding themselves better.
“We wish to create self-awareness among the
participants.” she said.
“We
encourage participants to talk about university, life, interpersonal issues and
other stuff and try to help them in whatever way we can, at the same time we
maintain confidentiality between the participants and student counsellor.”
Chew
hopes that this is a good practical experience for psychology students to apply
what they have learned in their lecture classes

Lee Wei Yoong, 24, who took some of the walk-in activities said, “It is fun to
let people interpret who you are.”
“I
learned how to deal with people.” he said, when asked about the 5 Love Languages
activity,
Another
participant, Adrian Ho, 21 who took the same test agreed with Lee.
“I
also learned that I am a person who likes to serve people. It is the way I show
how I care for someone.”
