Kampar, Feb 23 (J-on) - A flood due to the overflowing of a nearby river caused Tesco Kampar to close on Monday, a day after the disaster happened.

The flood started from the compound outside Tesco’s territory and not because of the drainage system of Tesco itself.

According to Store General Manager Tesco Kampar, Amirza Ghazali, 52, Tesco Kampar does not have any stock clearance for the moment.

The total loss incurred was not revealed because of its sensitive nature.

The store’s staffs started cleaning up after the mess on Sunday.

Tesco has yet to receive any complaints from the tenders and consumers up to the point of this interview.

No injuries were reportedly caused by the flood.

Tesco restored on Tuesday but staffs are still busy cleaning up the floor at parking lots.

River bank beside Tesco is the main cause of the flood.

Action taken by Tesco and Jabatan Paritan Saliran (JPS) Perak to expend to space of river bank.
